Flea (Siphonaptera)

Fleas are the insects (order Siphonaptera). Wingless, with mouth parts suited for piercing skin and sucking blood. Fleas are external parasites, living by hematophagy off the blood of mammals and birds.

One of the best jumpers (relative to body size), capable of jumping hundreds of times its own body length.

Dog flea (Ctenocephalides canis)
Human flea (Pulex irritans)
