Oak Bush-cricket (Meconema thalassinum)

Small bush cricket, up to 20 mm long, antennae 40 mm long. Lives in the foliage of trees, including oaks, where females lay eggs singly under the bark. It is the only Bush-cricket which is largely carnivorous, eating a range of other insects.
